About My Clients
I often work with clients struggling with Anxiety disorders such as: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors, Social Anxiety and Specific Phobias. Clients who come to work with me are often motivated to work on the behaviors keeping them from living a satisfying life even if it means engaging in something as hard as Exposure Response Prevention.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, and more. The treatment approaches I utilize are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavior Activation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Exposure Response Prevention. While all of the approaches I use are empirically validated for the treatment of Anxiety disorders, I also adapt treatment to meet all clients where they are at. Your goals are my goals and it is possible to experience relief from the symptoms that are keeping you from what you value most in life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all do what we need to in order to survive until those things no longer work for us. I approach all individuals who make their way into my care as completely competent and able to move toward their goals. I believe it is my job to provide that encouragement for people to see that they have all they need within them to heal. It is so difficult to choose to do the hard things in life and therapy is certainly not easy. I have so much respect and admiration for the people I work with and really hope for a chance to work with you!
