About My Clients
Adam has worked and trained in the mental health field since 2006, first as a residential counselor for people diagnosed with schizophrenia, then on the acute ward of two psychiatric hospitals, helping folks recover from episodes of mania, depression, anxiety, psychosis, and addiction. He has three years’ experience working in community mental health.
My Background and Approach
Adam received his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Antioch University New England. He combines key elements from several effective approaches to therapy, customized to suit clients’ specific needs and unique life experiences. He draws from the disciplines of cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, person-centered, Gestalt and bioenergetic therapies, and motivational interviewing. Adam strives for flexibility, curiosity, and compassion when working with each client
