About My Clients
I often work with "over thinkers" who as a result of this symptom may experience difficulty eating, sleeping and/or concentrating. This can also lead to experiencing moods of anxiety, anger and/or depression.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed psychologist with expertise in cognitive behavioral therapies for young children, adolescents, and adults. I have extensive experience providing exposure and response prevention (CBT) to individuals suffering from obsessive compulsive spectrum disorders and anxiety disorders, as well as depression, trichotillomania, Tourette’s and ADHD. In addition, I have been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) by Behavioral Tech and comprehensive behavioral intervention for tics (CBIT) by the Tourette Association of America. I earned my master’s and doctoral degrees from Hofstra University’s combined clinical and school psychology program, and an additional master’s degree in psychology from New York University. My clinical experience at the graduate level involved working primarily with individuals diagnosed with anxiety and depression. The school component of my training involved working in an elementary and high school where I ran groups.
