About My Clients
It would be a pleasure to walk with you through your journey to become a better you. As a team, we will develop a collaborative viewpoint where we can explore and process any difficulties related to work, relationships, life changes, learn critical life skills, and create meaningful connections in your life. I see clients aged 7 years old and up (kids, teens, adults, and couples).
My Background and Approach
I have a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas. Opportunities working with kids in foster care established my foundation in understanding the social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. Additionally, I have worked with adolescents and adults with goals to improve anxiety, depression, relationships, and stress. I personally like to use approaches that are best for each individual client. My preferences are an eclectic approach of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and person-centered as I find them to stress the importance of the therapeutic relationship, coping skills, and incorporating a combination of client-centered and structure.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My passions include creating a safe place to talk about anything that you want to work through, and breaking the stigma of mental illnesses. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, niece, and working out at the gym. I am an avid dog and cat lover for sure. Are you ready to embark on a path toward healing and positive change? I am here to provide compassionate support and guidance. Let's work together toward a brighter future. I am supervised by Lora Peters, LPC-S.
