About My Clients
Ideally, clients are seeking help on their own accord, as they are tired of their issues continuing to hold them back from experiencing life at its fullest. They may be noticing that maintaining their life as they once knew it is becoming more challenging, and feel like it might be time for some assistance. They may be seeking someone to speak to, someone to prescribe medication, and likely both. They know that getting help is not always easy, but they are willing to take the first step.
My Background and Approach
I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner committed to helping clients to live their best lives by utilizing a collaborative and client-centered approach. I aim to provide compassionate and empathetic care in order to promote healing. My goal is to meet you where you’re at, in order to help you achieve your goals and reach your highest potential. Therapy is an integral part of recovery, and medications may be beneficial to aid in the healing process. I am passionate about connecting with people, and helping them to gain new ways of coping with life’s various stressors, regardless of clinical diagnosis. I earned my Masters in Nursing and my Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP), specializing in psychiatry, from Rush University. I have experience at the inpatient level of care with children, adolescents, and adults. My experience is in patients with depression, anxiety, mood disorders and substance use disorders.
