About My Clients
As a therapist, with expertise in anxiety, depression, PTSD/ Trauma, and burnout, I continuously strive to provide a safe space for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals. I enjoy working with adults (18+) on developing a positive sense of self and re-framing thoughts. My understanding of cultural and systemic influence on our lives allows me to support those who have challenging life stressors or changes, boundaries issues, and struggle with effectively communicating needs.
My Background and Approach
As a therapist, I believe in utilizing a person-centered and culturally sensitive approach to develop and maintain a collaborative, safe environment to support you in the most appropriate way possible. During sessions, I will utilize a variety of modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and mindfulness to ensure that everyone receives the most well-rounded and holistic care possible. I have experiencing serving clients in a variety of settings including community mental health, inpatient/outpatient hospitals, PHP, and IOP programs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a BIPOC therapist, I believe in social justice and advocacy for marginalized populations. I believe that all persons, regardless of sexuality, race, gender identity, or belief system deserve a space to feel safe. One of our greatest challenges in life is reaching out for support when we need help. Life may throw us for a loop or weigh us down, and I believe therapy is a space to learn how to cope, plan, and prepare for those moments. While seeking support can be hard, know that you are not alone. I am excited to be here to support you in this journey, and I will celebrate with you along the way. We all are worthy of a secure, confidential space to heal.
