About My Clients

I specialize in working with people who wake up feeling like a stranger in their own body or who no longer recognize themselves in the mirror due to depression, substance use, anxiety, or lack of motivation.

My Background and Approach

I have worked alongside many individuals seeking to overcome drug and alcohol use over the past several years. By employing ACT and CBT approaches, I can assist you in reclaiming autonomy and freedom. Additionally, I have supported numerous couples navigating the challenging transitions in addiction recovery and offer services to connect you with local resources such as AA, SMART Recovery, and Al-Anon meetings in your area. Understanding that finding the right therapist can be a daunting task, I encourage you to reach out and schedule a consultation. I am more than willing to answer any questions you may have about starting therapy. If you discover that I am not the right fit for your needs, I will gladly help direct you to other resources or professionals who might be better suited to assist you. Your journey to recovery is important, and I am here to support you in finding the right path to healing and well-being.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I became a therapist because my life was changed by a therapist when I was just 16 years old. I believe therapy is for everyone and that talking with the right person can turn your whole life around. My clients describe me as expressive, passionate, and witty. Many appreciate my easy-going, non-threatening approach to therapy, which sometimes feels like a friendship (with more accountability). My approach is highly person-centered, recognizing you as the expert of your own life. I won’t tell you what to do or fill in blanks; I will clarify and ask questions to help you find answers within. Artistic expression, used occasionally, helps expand the mind and emotional capacity for healing. We will discuss you as a holistic being, connecting past and present to gain a better understanding of yourself. Somatic movement and artistic expression will help you connect with your mind and body as a whole. We will address impactful experiences, daily stresses, and anything necessary for you.
