- Medication Management
About My Clients
I work with clients aged. 18-65, with varying concerns including depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, bipolar, marital and interpersonal concerns, marriage/relationship and parenting difficulties. I am body positive, and especially enjoy supporting and working with the kink, poly, and LGBTQI communities.
My Background and Approach
My practice balances medication management with therapy. I believe providers are able to give the best care when a therapy component is included, and sessions are not restricted to a 10 minute visit. With both together, we have a better foundation for achieving your goals. I specialize in trauma work, and psychedelic assisted therapy. I've received my Psychedelic Assisted Training certificate from Naropa University, as well as my Ketamine Assisted Therapy certificate from the Psychedelic Research and Training Institute. I do emphasize that therapy is a critical component to recovery and healing, and for patients to have an established provider for this. Weekly or biweekly visits are typically ideal, under the care of a therapist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I admire and appreciate what makes every person unique and an individual. My love of learning carries through to my practice, as I try to learn as much as I can about the person themselves, and then what I can do to help with their goals. The biggest points about myself as a person is my insatiable drive for learning, with this a specific passion for learning about other cultures and backgrounds. I'm a firm believer in self care - us needing to set appropriate boundaries with others and ourselves in order to live the best life we can. Supporter of the arts and culture - theater, art museums, literature, and am a big foodie. Most will find that I'm pretty down to earth and easy to talk to. Many are not thrilled to walk into a psych provider's office and I completely understand where they're coming from. I try to help individuals feel as comfortable as possible, and ensure that nothing is done without them being on board, even if that means we just talk for the hour.
