About My Clients
You have taken the first step but it's still daunting. You may have a new stressor or have been dealing with worries for the past months. You may have work, family, partner/s, & yourself to take care of but you don't know where to start. Something needs to change and I want to help you live your life fully and authentically. I work with people from all walks of life, but mainly I help women and mothers who seem "put together" actually feel that way.
My Background and Approach
I work from a holistic lens, incorporating the mind, body and spirit, while connecting with you, the client, and taking into consideration your life experiences, culture, ethnicity, etc. My approach is compassionate, strength-based, and goal-oriented. Therapy is not one size fits all so I utilize various techniques and draw from numerous therapeutic theories including Solution Focused, Emotion Focused, and Narrative Therapy as well as play therapy, CBT, yoga, mindfulness, and trauma informed techniques. I am passionate about maternal mental health, working with new moms or experienced mothers. Feel free to call me with questions about my background or approach. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that sometimes we get stuck, and what used to work for us before doesn't quite make the cut this time. Sometimes we need someone else to nudge or help us get back to where we want to be. I believe society has caused us to drift apart from one another, making us self-conscious and increase our negative self-talk. I am passionate about maternal health, social justice causes, refugee and immigrant programs and homeless population advocacy. I do not discriminate against any gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, countries of origin, religions, relationship style, abilities, bodies or people.
