About My Clients

Adolescence and young adulthood are challenging times, full of growth and transition for individuals and families. I am skilled at working with families through these transitional times, and also enjoy supporting couples in achieving healthy communication and partnership. My clinical experience runs the gamut from in-home work with court-mandated youth, residential work with adolescent girls, and community-based outpatient therapy with high school students and kids in foster care.

My Background and Approach

I received my master's degree in social work in 2014 and have worked with children, adolescents, and families in various treatment settings ever since. As a clinician, my approach is to meet the client where they are and help them light their own path to healing. I do this through the use of structural family therapy, narrative therapy, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Sandtray, and creative and experiential work. I can help you and your family achieve your goals, both individually and together. Whether struggling with low self-esteem, identity development, relationship difficulties, overcoming traumatic experiences and memories, shame, anxiety and depression, or anything else that is preventing you from meeting your full potential, let me walk beside you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone is the master of their own healing, but sometimes they need help to find their way. Everyone has the capacity to change, but barriers often prevent them from accessing their ability to do so. My goal is to help you identify which barriers you can control and which you need to circumvent to become the you who you want to be. I am an active member of the LGBTQ+ community and work to advance women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and racial equality whenever possible. I came to therapy later in life (at age 30), but am now fully invested and believe that everyone deserves to have the support of unconditional positive regard that therapists provide. The growth I have been able to achieve since beginning my own therapeutic journey has helped me become the therapist I am today. I would be honored to provide that support for you and your family!
