It's nice to meet you! I am a LGBTQ+, Poly and CNM, and Kink/BDSM friendly therapist with experience in the field of trauma and substances.
Social Worker in Richardson, TX
Supervised by Dr. De'An Olson Roper, LCSW-S
As a member of the Queer community myself and working in a LGBTQ+ mental health practice for the past 3 years, I have experience with the clinical concerns of the community as well as affirming care. I additionally, have particular knowledge about the asexuality or Ace community and the wide spectrum of experiences that exist within.
I have experience working within recovery services, with specialized education in opioid addiction and MAT including how pregnant women navigate recovery services. I come from the harm reduction perspective with an emphasis in helping individuals reach their own goals and understand their relationship with substances.
Eclectic refers to taking an approach to therapy that integrates pieces of different theoretical perspectives to create a space that is individualized to the client. I emphasize having a genuine and trusting professional relationship with clients and collaborating with them to find the type of therapy that works best for them. This is the theoretical model that I was educated in through my Masters program at the University of Texas at Arlington.
