About My Clients

I am compassionate provider whose work is centered on creating a nurturing and affirming therapeutic space. As a Latina mental health professional, I believe in the importance of recognizing how intersectionality and societal factors impact our well-being. I am dedicated to providing care that truly honors the unique needs, experiences, and identities of all.

My Background and Approach

I utilize holistic and evidenced-based approaches such cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and EMDR. I have worked with children, adults, and families for many years and have gained extensive experience and training in treating conditions such as but not limited to acute, complex, and intergenerational trauma, depression, grief, low self-esteem, anxiety, major life transitions, immigration/acculturation challenges, perinatal mental health, attachment difficulties, as well as stress related to racism and oppression. I am also currently completing training to become a Registered Dance Movement Therapist through the American Dance Therapy Association. Dance, movement, and creative expression are powerful therapeutic tools that can support with facilitating integrative healing across multiple domains of functioning: cognitive, emotional, physical, and spiritual.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I firmly believe that in order to provide compassionate and inclusive care – I must respect and listen to the stories of my clients and dedicate myself to a lifelong process of better understanding the impact of the micro and macro implications of race, culture, gender, sexual orientation, and beyond. To truly honor the totality of one’s experience I will always work diligently to center my work around intersectionality and bringing conscious awareness to the voices and experiences of marginalized communities.
