About My Clients
I specialize in working with clients who are facing challenges related to post-traumatic stress, relationships, and life transitions. I also have experience helping clients manage symptoms of anxiety and depression. I work with clients both individually and in couples, who are ages 18 and over. I have found that I especially connect with clients who have mixed-race identities and experiences, as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community.
My Background and Approach
Above all else, I believe that therapy is most helpful when an authentic, human-to-human connection exists between therapists and their clients. It is my priority to provide you with an encouraging and warm space to work on what brings you to therapy, and you can count on me to support you from a place of strengths-based and person-centered values (empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard). I am interested in tailoring my approach to your specific needs, background, and goals. I want to learn about who you are, your values and worldview, important people and moments that shape your past and present, your hopes for the future, and the biopsychosocial identities that make you the exceptional person you are. I take a systemic, integrative, biopsychosocial approach to therapy, meaning our work will likely include evaluating how the systems you are impacted by, from the world around you to the body you live in, play a role in your life and therefore your healing
