About My Clients
I have been practicing in-patient, outpatient and telehealth individual and group therapy throughout my career. I am formally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. The are the primary therapy modalities that I utilize but am also well versed in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems therapy, and others.
My Background and Approach
Our first session will typically consist of you and I getting to know each other and exploring what it is that you would like to achieve in therapy, so that we can create a treatment plan with goals. We will also talk about what therapeutic approaches would be most beneficial for your circumstance and answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process. I have experience in helping clients with LGBTQ+ related issues, parenting issues, motivation, self-esteem and confidence, and coping with life changes. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
