About My Clients
I love to work with clients who have a desire to be open and transparent so that I can provide my best suggestions and advice. Having a willingness to trust in me and work towards growth makes the therapy process a much more rewarding one.
My Background and Approach
I have many years of experience working with children/teens, couples, and individuals. Some of my areas of experience include depression, anxiety, stress management, conflict management, communication, trauma, and faith based counseling. The modalities of therapy that I like to use are cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and narrative therapy. Additionally, I have been trained in EMDR. Essentially I work towards creating meaning and restoring relationships (even with yourself) as a way of healing. As we work together my goal is to make you comfortable so that we can take a journey together to understand yourself and how to relate to others in the world around you. In doing so, you will become stronger, more self aware and resilient.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I personally believe in the power of faith. As a Christian woman, I hold steadfast to the wisdom and knowledge in the Bible and seek to apply Biblical principles to your life in conjunction with the therapeutic models and tools that can being long lasting change to your life. I believe that there is purpose and meaning in all that we experience, there is opportunity in challenge, and hope in every circumstance.
