If you are self-harming or you have a loved one who is self-harming it can be hard for both of you to understand. I have found that most who self-harm want a better way to cope with their emotions, but it sometimes feels impossible to stop self-harming. Whether that is because it has become a habit, it feels good, or you feel that you have no other way of dealing with life. I work with individuals from 12 years-old to adults on learning coping skills to replace self-harming using DBT.
Having thoughts of killing yourself or having a loved one who is thinking of killing themselves is a scary feeling. I work with individuals from 12 years-old to adults who are thinking about suicide. We will use an evidence-based treatment called CAMS (Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidal Risk) coupled with DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to create hope, decrease the stressors that are driving suicidal thoughts, and decrease (if not get rid of) those suicidal thoughts.

I work with individuals from 12 years-old to adults using a variety of evidence-based treatments to learn how to take control of anxiety and take back your power. We will work together to identify where, when, and how your anxiety shows up in your life and create a plan to make the changes needed to kick it to the curb.
