If you are experiencing burnout, it can encompass a wide range of emotions from anxiety, irritability, and feeling overwhelmed. Over time, these symptoms can worsen and potentially impact your relationships, daily functioning, and health. I have many years working with clients who are experiencing burnout, whether it be related to your job or parenting. I can provide stress management strategies and work with you to develop a personalized coping plan.
Becoming a parent can trigger multiple emotions. Others typically expect parents to find the role of being a parent all-encompassing or joyful. It is okay if your experience as a parent does not match the "ideal". Parenting is complicated and I would love to hear about your experiences and help you manage this unique period of your life. Together, we can develop tools to help you balance your own self-care while maintaining your role as a parent, and beyond.
Anxiety is a normal emotion that sometimes is hard to manage. Anxiety can range from specific phobias (i.e., social, specific), panic attacks, or be related to trauma. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing Anxiety Disorders for quite some time. I can help work with you if you would like to develop coping tools and engage in Evidence-Based Treatments for anxiety such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
You may find it challenging to make decisions or engage in healthy changes. If you would like to make changes in your health habits, reduce unhelpful habits, or set goals Motivational Interviewing may help. Motivational Interviewing helps us identify any areas of concern and behaviors/habits you are contemplating changing. Through this process, we can identify the ambivalence you may feel about changing your behaviors and work towards moving forward and setting identifiable goals.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an empirically supported treatment that can be effective for anxiety, depression, and learning to manage your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. There are also specialty CBT treatments I offer including Trauma-Focused CBT and Cognitive Processing Therapy (for trauma).
