I have specialized training to assist both children, families and adults through a variety of modalities including EMDR, somatic experiencing, play therapy, expressive arts, sandtray, equine counseling and other experiential activities and trauma informed methods.

I utilize a variety of appraoches to assist clients with their symptomology including EMDR, CBT, somatic experiencing, expressive arts, sandtray and other experiential work to learn coping and build an awareness of environmental triggers.

My training in Play Therapy has spanned over 10 years both at the graduate, internship and professional level. As a Registered Play Therapist in the state of Texas I have put in supervision and learning hours above and beyond the required amount to specialize in this area. I have been practicing play therapy for over 10 years.

I am currently EMDR trained and am in the process of becoming EMDR certified. I have supervision and professional development hours above the required to practice this modality. In a ddition I have been trained in Somatic Experiencing which partners well with EMDR to assist clients in processing trauma.

Currently I practice equine facilitated therapy with individuals, groups and families. I have trained extensively over the past two years completing both a year long master class in equine learning and a 6 month facilitation skills class. I currently teach others how to do this work offering an introductory level class in equine counseling, facilitation skills class and trauma focused class.
