That stuck feeling. We have all had it at one time or another. But, this is different. It feels like you are weighed down by both the demands of life and painful experiences from your past. You have tried, but can’t quite get the relief that you so badly want. You are motivated and willing to try just about anything at this point. Together, we can work to release the pain and give you hope for your future. I’m not saying it will be easy, but it will definitely be worth it.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in the behavioral health field for over 23 years, with 17 of those years as a therapist. My work often involves helping those experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship problems, trauma, and life transitions. I work from a cognitive behavioral framework and I am a Master Trained Therapist in (A.R.T) Accelerated Resolution Therapy. A.R.T. is an evidence-based practice that has shown to be effective in less sessions that other traditional therapy models. One of the most remarkable things about A.R.T., that I believe sets it apart from other therapies, is that in order to experience relief of symptoms, one does not have to discuss details of the problem or traumatic event. A.R.T can be used for many different issues/concerns. My work using A.R.T. has included military veterans, first responders, trauma survivors, and many others. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I chose to become a therapist because I am passionate about helping others find their path and their most meaningful life. I believe that everyone has the capacity to change, and this change process is unique to each person based on one’s self-awareness and motivation. I recognize the courage that it takes for you to reach out for help and find a therapist. I want to ensure each person who comes to see me feels they are treated as individuals and are able to find hope and alleviate their suffering. Reaching out and asking for help is often the biggest hurdle in getting to where you want to be. If you are reading this, you are taking that first crucial step towards the life that you desire.
