I specialize in working through life transitions and grief/loss. I am skilled in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and self-esteem. I am certified in bereavement counseling. I have a keen understanding how expectations don’t necessarily meet our reality, and the effects this has on how we feel, how we think, and how we proceed forward. I also am bilingual and can work with clients in Spanish.
My Background and Approach
I aim to empower clients to embrace their purpose, and to facilitate growth by providing a non-judgmental environment. I strongly believe that trust and collaboration within the therapeutic relationship allows individuals to confront and heal from painful pasts, improve relationships, learn stronger coping skills, process current adversities, and actively seek transformation and reinvention.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Beliefs that I hold that also align with the current practice I am in is providing culturally sensitive, empathically driven psychotherapy. I am a strong ally and affirm all LGBTQIA identities. I am committed to anti-racist beliefs and practices. I am firm believer of destigmatizing mental health in LatinX communities and ending "chancla culture".
