About My Clients
I see clients of all ages and most notably specialize in working with young adults and adolescents. My focus is centered on creating a relationship built on trust, to allow a space to let go of burdens from the past and move into reconnection with yourself and others. The stories we tell about our lives can have an immense impact on our experiences, relationships, health, and wellbeing. It is through the work together that we can develop new ways of being in this world and truly honor ourselves.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in a variety of different settings through the years with integration of alternative therapeutic techniques such as outdoor "adventure-based therapy" and Eco-therapy. My approach utilizes a trauma-informed lens, helping my clients build resiliency both at an individual and systemic level. I use person-centered techniques with integration of evidence-based modalities (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Hakomi).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every human being has a similar wish at their core: to heal our relationship with our partner, parents, family, community and ultimately ourselves. In this current state of great social, political and environmental change, it is hard to fathom and often very overwhelming to know where to stand in it all. I believe each of us has the capacity to change and come to a better understanding of our organic selves and inherent truths . By taking accountability and showing up, we can inspire others to do the same.
