About My Clients
I am most interested in helping people in relationships. I like to help people fall back in love with each other and remember why they're with each other in the first place. I can best help people who feel lonely in their relationship. However, I can also help individuals who would like to work on some aspect of relationship in their lives, whether that is because you're single and ready to get back out there, going through a breakup or have a lot of difficulty with your family of origin.
My Background and Approach
I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist which means I went to school to become an expert on relationships and that's all I focused on! I love to hear how people met and why they fell in love and what's in the way of them feeling that now. I like to help people discover each other again and how to grow and learn together, rather than apart. We'll practice ways to better communicate, understand and hear each other in every session. I love the work of Terry Real and am working my way to getting certified in his model: Relational Life Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
If you're on this website, you've already taken a gigantic courageous step towards a healthier relationship, either with yourself or someone else. I commend you! Change is not easy AND it is essential to having a better relationship. I will never ask you to do anything in therapy that I haven't already done myself --either on the couch by myself, with my husband or with my family. We all need help at some point in our lives, I'm really happy that you're here trying to figure that out.
