About My Clients
I am comfortable working with clients of all backgrounds, ethnicities, faiths, sexual orientations and gender orientations. I have successfully worked with college aged students, adults of all ages, and the geriatric population. I help my clients overcome the following issues: –major life changes -depression -anxiety and panic disorders -childhood trauma -managing stress and emotions -attachment disorders -anger management -low self-esteem, and more.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is holistic, factoring the mind, body, and spirit into wellness to help empower you. I utilize CBT, mindfulness, and strengths based approaches and provide compassion, healing honesty, and support throughout our time together. I began my career working in both inpatient as well as outpatient settings. I completed my Master’s in Social Work at the University of South Carolina. I have worked with a wide range of populations facing a wide range of issues for over seven years- from hospice to trauma, crisis and substance abuse counseling in an inpatient setting, to most recently in the past two years practicing individual counseling in a purely outpatient setting. I am skilled in crisis management and trauma focused CBT having worked in an inpatient mental health setting for three years. I am very comfortable working with anyone from 18 years and up, LGBTQ friendly.
