About My Clients
You may be feeling like you are caught in a cycle that ends in frustration and pain. It is EXHAUSTING. Cycles within ourselves, with our partners, our kids, work and friends. Life starts to feel really vicious. If you are feeling beatdown and stuck, I'm ready to help. Whether I am working with you as an individual, couple, or family, I want to start by helping to loosen the loneliness that happens when we go through suffering.
My Background and Approach
I have honed my expertise through various specialized training. Some areas of focus are in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), with couples and families. I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which helps individuals to resolve and manage trauma and distressing experiences. My goal every session is to create a safe place for you to explore understanding yourself and these toxic cycles. Working with me with you will feel more connected with yourself and others. We will look into the dark places together, the places you felt shame around when you went there alone, and you will feel the warmth of empathy connecting with another human there. It is hard work and just you being here looking for help already shows me the resilience that we will work with and further reveal.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My passion is for helping people to develop insight and tools while experiencing vulnerability in a healing re-corrective way. Much of my work and that passion is influenced by my belief in a good God; however, how much (if at all) we discuss faith and spirituality is totally directed by you. With every client and situation, safety is the top priority. I take a curious, non-judgmental approach and intersectional lens, which provides acceptance and understanding of where a person is, with respect to faith, religious beliefs, sexuality, race, gender, body size, ability and socio-economic status.
