About My Clients
Young adults and teens face unprecedented stressors during social isolation including sadness, loneliness, uncertainty about the future, and anxiety. Once effective coping strategies are unavailable now. I provide a safe, nurturing environment for teens and young adults to explore these challenges and stressors. I work closely with parents so that they can support their teen's successful growth. My passion is teaching skills to manage independence, social anxiety, depression, and relationships.
My Background and Approach
I have over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in variety of settings including private practice, hospitals, and schools. I am a child and adolescent specialist with years of dedicated training. I value using evidenced-based CBT and ACT interventions to build internal resources. Simultaneously, I value building a strong relationship focused on deeply understanding my clients and their struggles, in order to promote greater personal insight. I was previously the Lead Clinical Psychologist for GlenOaks Therapeutic Day School for ten years, where I provided clinical supervision and support to staff, students and families. After years of building strong relationships with school district staff, I consult closely with local school districts, and provide psychological assessments for their high-risk students.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
With years of dedicated work with young adults and teens, I truly understand the unique challenges facing them and their families. Clients benefit from improved social and coping skills, with a focus on mindfulness, acceptance and commitment. I offer flexible hours including evenings, and virtual visits.
