About My Clients
My clients watch in amazement as they do something they know they'll regret later. Or they are drawn to the wrong people, feel hurt by someone they have no respect for, yell at a loved one with little reason, or feel powerless to take action against something simple. They want to find out what is "wrong" with them and believe they are a burden. My office offers a secure space for us to work together on the experiences that have shaped you and the ones that will move you forward.
My Background and Approach
I am a relationship therapist. I help you understand yourself in relation to others (your loved ones, family, children, co-workers, any interactions). As a couples therapist, I help couples of different backgrounds, cultures, languages, and faith reestablish the connection that they have lost. I am trained in EFT and Gottman. As an individual therapist, I work to uncover the parts of you that are not in control of your life. Due to the many slings and arrows that life throws at us, parts of our personalities are forced to take roles that close our hearts and obscure the childlike part that was meant to be happy and wanted to connect with others. I am trained in Inner Child and Ego State therapies. I work with clients suffering from different forms of anxiety. I am trained in EMDR (I work to desensitize and reprocess trauma), which can also help with making life's difficult choices. For every client, there's a unique approach to their struggles.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is very diverse, to say the least. Since I specialize in multicultural couples and I provide therapy in 3 different languages, I've had the privilege to interact with clients from different countries, national origins, ethnicity, race, socio-economical backgrounds, cultures, and faiths. I hold low-cost group sessions for women who find it hard to navigate their careers. As someone with experience in the corporate setting, I am particularly interested in helping professional women through their careers and the hardships they have to go through.
