Sometimes what is happening with your child frustrates or confuses you. I work with parents to open up the lines of communication and implement structure to encourage behavior change. I understand that parents and caregivers are with the child much more frequently than a therapist can be - and so as a parent, you need the tools and education that will help you to understand your child's unique strengths and challenges and manage their behaviors in the home.

I offer groups and individual therapy for children with anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety, panic disorder, separation anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, and obsessive compulsive disorder. Cognitive Behavior Therapy is the treatment of choice for childhood anxiety, and I use CBT and other tailored interventions to meet each individual child's needs. I will make a recommendation to you of what I think your child or family could benefit from following a thorough assessment.

I am an approved provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD.

I use a variety of evidence based methods to help children and adolescents heal from interpersonal trauma, including Cognitive Processing Therapy, child-centered play therapy, attachment-based interventions, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). With adult clients, I primarily use Cognitive Processing Therapy to help you quickly recover.

I have 8 years of experience providing play therapy, using both directive and non-directive approaches. I am currently undergoing additional training and supervision in child-centered play therapy and child-parent relational therapy/filial therapy so that I can continue to improve my skills in working with children and their families in developmentally appropriate ways.

I have extensive training and experiencing using Cognitive Behavior Therapy to treat a wide array of concerns.

I have extensive training in an evidence-based approach to treating PTSD called Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). This treatment has been found to be effective in treating combat trauma, as well as other kinds of trauma including complex trauma, childhood trauma, and sexual trauma. For children and teens, I have training in providing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, another evidence-based treatment.

I work with clients of all ages with anxiety disorders including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, and panic disorders. I use research-backed strategies to treat anxiety, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, exposure therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindful self-compassion training.

I have specialized training in treating OCD called Exposure and Response Prevention. This approach is a kind of Cognitive Behavior Therapy that involves gradual exposure to feared situations, while helping you to avoid engaging in compulsions. This approach is the gold standard in OCD treatment, and tends to produce results within a few months. I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy into treatment, which helps you to practice mindfulness and increase psychological flexibility.

I have specialized training in providing Ex/RP to children, teens, and adults who are experiencing Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. A life with OCD can start to feel really small, and everyday things can feel impossible, like going to school or work. I will help you to gradually face your fears and regain functioning so that you can focus on what is most important to you, instead of OCD.
