About My Clients
My clients often find that everything on the surface looks great in their life, but they feel that something is missing. They are anxious, feel like they can't be present, or find that talking to their friends just isn't enough.
My Background and Approach
I work to create a nonjudgmental and supportive environment in which together we can explore your challenges, engage your strengths, and learn new skills to help you live your best life. Using evidence- and strength-based approaches and tailoring these methods to each client’s unique experiences and forms of identification, I work to help you befriend your emotions so you can live your life according to your values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The experiences of injustice, inequity, and precarity inherent in our society can have significant and long-lasting negative effects on mental health. As a therapist, it is my priority to create a space where you can safely and freely address these experiences on your terms. I aim to support you and collaborate with you in this process, including celebrating your strengths and acknowledging any exhausting aspects of this process. In preparation, I work to examine my own privileges and preconceptions outside of the therapy office. I strive to recognize the intersectional and complex nature of your experiences and approach each session with curiosity and empathy. My goal is to collaborate with you in addressing what is most important to you, with an openness that provides the opportunity for you to explore what you want at your own pace.
