About My Clients
I treat the therapy process as an intimate space for exploration of vulnerable emotions and thoughts. My clients are, on some level, ready to be vulnerable with the process as a means of learning new skills, breaking old habits and patterns, finding new understandings about themselves and their relationships, as well as learning to be intimate with ourselves and others. I have found success with clients desiring to heal from emotional unwellness stemming from trauma and relationship difficulties
My Background and Approach
My background is rooted in an enduring respect and trust for the therapeutic process. I know what its like to sit on the other couch. That being said, I have experiential and clinical understanding of cognitive, relational and affective therapy types. I am trauma informed and analytically minded. I can assist putting words to experience, and am also looking to help you identify and embody emotions pleading for expression.
My Values as a Therapist
I know what it's like to sit opposite a therapist, session after session, year after year; to be in that vulnerable position of revealing the most intimate details of our inner experiences. I treasure therapy and its process and all its insights it has to offer, as well as its difficulties, pain and tragedies.
