About My Clients
My hope is to provide a safe space for people to land; one that helps them cultivate hope, support, ask hard questions and deepen understanding and appreciation of themselves. For me, it is an honor to hold space for people in their therapeutic journeys – to honor their courage in showing up for themselves, and to affirm their own inherent potential as human beings. I am currently seeing clients in the Seattle area via Telehealth.
My Background and Approach
I truly believe that healing, growth, and change do not occur in a vacuum, and my approach to therapy recognizes this and the importance of meeting client’s where they are and understanding the systemic and cultural influences in their lives. As an Iranian American, and daughter of an immigrant, I value the nuanced spaces of our identities that exist. I believe that holding space for these layers is necessary for our healing individually and collectively. My hope is to provide a space for my clients to explore elements of identity in their own lives – further encouraging their own agency and capacity to feel empowered. Every individual is an expert in their own lives. They know their own processes, and when they are ready to dig deeper, soften, and grow. I work from a holistic perspective including incorporating mindfulness, attachment theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic principles, somatic based practices and emotion focused therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The foundation of my approach to therapy, is to recognize and hold dear the potential for human relationships. There is great value in uncovering the best parts of ourselves, and ways in which we want to change, evolve, heal, and overcome. My role is to encourage resilience in my clients as they face various seasons in their lives and serve as a vessel for collaboration and partnership.
