I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Washington, DC. I'm also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I attended Virginia State University for my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and University of Baltimore for my Master of Science in Applied Psychology. I have experience providing individual and group therapy in a variety of settings including private practice, hospitals and schools. I believe that everyone has the ability to live a life where they can feel fulfilled, regardless of what obstacles and challenges life has thrown at them! I use a humanistic, person-centered approach to therapy. I aim to help you have a better understanding of your feelings and experiences so that you can become a stronger, healthier you. Every person is different, and therefore, I use a variety of treatment approaches to best support my clients including Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Solution Focused Brief therapy.

Since the beginning of my career, my work has been centered around working with those in under served communities to help them have access to the resources necessary to heal and grow. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to work on themselves, have access to solid education and have access to the same opportunities as others, regardless of the neighborhood they grew up in or the circumstances life has thrown their way. I look at all people as equal in that, criminal background or not, substance use history or not, poor neighborhood or not - you deserve to be happy and have peace just like everyone else deserves to. We've all dealt with the cards we've been given in the best way that we knew how at the time. It doesn't make us any less of a person nor should our past decisions permanently remove us from the opportunity to find happiness.
