My Background and Approach
I believe we all have the capability to grow and move into a place of wholeness. I aspire to walk alongside you as you grow and evolve; shedding unhelpful truths, memories, or behaviors you may have gathered along your journey. I can help you heal from old trauma wounds, gain insight about your inner world, learn to become an observer of your thoughts/emotions, and gain helpful tools to help you in those inevitable hard moments. Curiosity, self-empowerment & authentic human connection will be the cornerstone of our work. I am trained in EMDR & Trauma-Focused CBT, and utilize a lot of somatic (body) exercises to remind your thinking brain it does in fact have a body! I am not the quiet, head nodding therapist that you may have encountered before. I believe that a genuine connection with your therapist is the recipe to great therapy where transformative work can occur!
