My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Hi, My Name is Basher Salem, I completed undergraduate studies in psychology and philosophy in San Antonio, Texas, and graduated from Webster University with a master's in mental health counseling and family studies. For the next four years, I participated in specialized training in Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT) at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Family Studies. After becoming certified in BSFT, I was offered a two-year fellowship program at the University as a BSFT trainer and clinical supervisor. Prior to establishing Alamo Area Counseling, I served as a consultant and a trainer in BSFT at UTHSC, San Antonio, Pediatric Clinic, and Family Service Association of San Antonio.
