About My Clients
I am dedicated, but not limited to, working with adults who are going through mind body disconnect, sexual and relational trauma, relational issues, grief, early attachment issues, anxiety, depression, domestic abuse, pregnancy loss, and life transition. Far to common in today's society are expectations that can lead to burnout, people pleasing, perfectionism and disconnect. Despite that disconnect, it is possible for you to find balance and healing using a creative collaborative approach.
My Background and Approach
I welcome vulnerability in a holistic collaborative approach. My hope is that you are able to ease your mind, rediscover your truest self, and live a more integrated life. I want you to feel empowered and will meet you where you are as an individual with specific needs. With your agency and permission, I may utilize EMDR, movement, intuition, reiki, creativity, as well as psychotherapeutic factors to work towards healing. Humor and creative wonder are also invited in the room! Prior to being a provisionally licensed clinician, I worked as a professional classical musician for well over a decade and understand hustle. In addition to my clinical work, I work as a certified yoga teacher. I align as a healer and have experience practicing and studying eastern traditional healing modalities such as reiki, yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. I may bring body awareness to the clinical setting to reinforce a connection with your truest self. My goal is to guide your self-initiated change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We are a society that gets gets bombarded with information coming from many sources. This bombardment may not be beneficial to our truest sense of self or towards our sense of balance. We live in a busy and loud society where bigger, and more, is better. Many of us are thinking heads without a body going through the motions with no idea about what we need to feel better. I believe that by intentionally slowing down and listening to what we need, even in a once-a-week therapy session, we can do deep work and make steps towards change. I practice and study eastern traditional healing modalities and believe them to be powerful. Besides the emotional, physical, and mental benefits of these traditions, they also deepen meaning and purpose while developing an inner connection to truest self. Will we be “ohm”ing and doing yoga poses? Maybe, or not. We may not even move the body. You will have agency over your experience towards balance. EMDR and reiki are additional tools that may be used.
