Feeling STUCK? You may be seeking counseling because you or your loved one are experiencing an overwhelming struggle, hurt or pain. Maybe you feel depressed, lost, worried or scared. Your pain is heavy, but you don't have to carry it alone. YOU DESERVE CARE. I believe that you have a unique story that is beautifully complex and intricate. During hardship, pain often takes the pen of your story and tries to distort your reality. My role is to help you take back the pen and rewrite your story.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) and owner of Every Breath Counseling PLLC. I am passionate about helping you heal, grow and live the life you've dreamed of living. My approach to therapy is personal, collaborative and relational. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all model, but instead I take the time to understand your history, hear your struggles and explore your goals. As I get to know you, I will develop a personalized treatment plan utilizing various evidence-based tools to help you reach your goals and learn about yourself in the process. I primarily work with adults and teens struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, low self-esteem and other mental health issues. I also specialize in body image therapy and Christian counseling, and offer online therapy for individuals in WA state.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Through my own journey of battling depression, surviving abuse and recovering from addiction, I have learned how hopeless life can seem when we are carrying our burdens alone. I know how easy it is to spiral into negative thoughts, feel overwhelmed by emotions and get stuck in unhealthy cycles of behavior. At our lowest points, hope is hard to come by, but it is not lost. After seeking professional help, I was able to experience freedom, find hope and reclaim my life. My passion is to help you do the same.
