About My Clients
I can help couples wanting to improve their communication and increase their sense of closeness. I can help adults wanting to work on symptoms of anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, and insecure ways of connecting to self and others.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed psychotherapist specializing in couples therapy and working with individuals desiring to better understand themselves in relationships. I approach the therapeutic relationship with compassion and expertise.I am trained in the lasted neuroscience of adult attachment and somatic (soma relating to the body) based interventions. I help clients understand how to regulate their emotions, communicate their needs, integrate nervous system dysregulation, improve their ability to tolerate difficult emotions, and build happy, connected lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Psychotherapy is the process of moving closer to one’s authentic self. My approach to psychotherapy is gentle. The psyche naturally directs a person toward healing and a therapeutic relationship supports this healing and transformation. In our therapeutic sessions, we will begin by uncovering your story. It’s important to me that I honor your individuality and cultural diversity. Increased insight is a natural product of our work together. Insight can help one move toward better ways of being in the world and a greater sense of connection.
