About My Clients
Honestly, I'm in the trenches of birth work. I assist people work through all things reproductive-related. I am passionate about people have ultimate choice over their bodies. If someone wants to have a baby, great let me support you. Don't think children are for you and you identify as female or nonbinary (or trans), let's connect. Having children does not define you (I'm childless too by choice).
My Background and Approach
I took my first perinatal mental health training in 2012 because my sister (now a midwife, then a doula) begged me to get training to help with postpartum depression because she was drowning in it with her people and she was out of options. I took the training and now it's the majority of my focus. I'm passionate about getting folks feeling better on the reproductive journey (even if that means no babies at all). I also help people heal from birth trauma which can be massive trauma to microtrauma. My therapeutic approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, eclectic, solution focussed and I've recently completed my Phase II training of brainspotting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Look, I've been around the block. I've been on my own personal therapy journey since I was 18. Through a million-degree changes, I landed on Art Therapy. I have become the therapist I always wanted for myself. That means I SEE you. I BELIEVE in you. I'm here for YOU. I believe we all can use some therapy, but it certainly is great when your partner in crime (me!) can just be a guide in the trenches with you. Everything we do will be together and consentual. We will go as fast or slow as you need for ultimate healing.
