As a therapist of multiracial and multicultural background, I have experienced the push and pulls of celebration my culture alongside being ashamed of other parts. Navigating these many lines can be tricky, however I believe that through a collaborative conversation, we can honor ourselves and our identities in a way that makes sense to us.
With how rapid our society is moving in jobs, in expectations, in goals it can be easy to allow anxiety to take control and make us feel overwhelmed. Through my practice, my goal is to see what the anxiety means for you, the purpose it has in your life, and how we can create a healthy relationship with anxiety such that we can reclaim our power with it.
Anger is one of the few emotions that are accepted in our society as a response to grief, to heartbreak, and to life's unfair treatment. Through my work, I look at anger as a tool that informs us of how our bodies and emotional health are reacting to challenges that come up. Deconstructing anger, its presence, and its purpose in our life can transform it into a healthy purpose in our life.
