About My Clients
I encourage a client in their personal growth and development. I am interested in providing assistance to couples/individuals that are seeking sexual and gender identity growth.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years experience working with adolescents, adults, couples and children. I earned my B.A. in psychology and my Master of Social Work at Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. In previous internship and work experiences, I have worked in a variety of different settings including intensive community based programs, inpatient hospitals, and outpatient services. Professional organizations that I belong to include the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I am licensed in DC, Virginia and Maryland. With a warm but direct approach I encourage a client in their personal growth and development. I utilize an integrative mix of therapeutic modalities, with a strong basis in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused and strengths based theories. This means I tailor sessions to the individual needs of the clients.
