Many struggle day to day with feelings of anxiety, depression, and conflict within interpersonal relationships. These feelings can make us feel hopeless, burnt out and overwhelmed. My goal as a counselor is to become aware of thoughts and feelings underlying certain behaviors, develop insight and understanding as well as become more effective at communicating with those around you.
My Background and Approach
I am currently a Mental Health Counseling intern seeking licensure in New York State. My approach places a strong emphasis on psychodynamic counseling. I focus on making the client feel comfortable so we can work collaboratively to help you cope with daily stressors, manage depression and anxiety, build confidence, and create an overall better quality of life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in a comprehensive approach to psychotherapy that focuses not only on internal factors but how our environmental factors influence us. A comprehensive approach to therapy can often be tailored to the individual and help you discover which approach is most effective for you.
