About My Clients
If you are feeling anxious and overwhelmed, know you are not alone. Life can be challenging. It is not uncommon to have physical, emotional and mental health concerns exacerbated by day-to day-stressors. I get it. It feels like your mind is spinning with fear, worry and rumination. Whether you are looking for therapy to address a specific situation or trigger, or seeking support for uncomfortable emotions related to anxiety or life challenges, there is hope, let me help you.
My Background and Approach
The psychotherapeutic tools I use in my practice are collaborative, positive, solution-focused, and supportive, coming from a variety of therapeutic models. I am dedicated to continued training on cutting edge techniques related to neuroscience, mindfulness and brain based treatments that help treat anxiety, trauma, emotional wounds, and day-to-day stress.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that life can be stressful and that it can be normal to feel overwhelmed, anxious and stressed. I believe that there are so many pressures put on people today with advances in technology and the ability to be connected at all times. We can feel inadequate, worried about the future and unsure if we can keep up. When you add the fast paced, high performance culture to "type A perfectionism" it can spiral into all or nothing thinking that can make life so much more difficult. Life, work, parenting, caregiving and other demands can make self-care so challenging. As a working parent living with anxiety I know how hard that balance can be. I believe that with appropriate support and tools we call all improve our self-care, self-compassion and thrive. We don't need to be perfect to be amazing.
