About My Clients

Do you often wish for a more peaceful relationship with food, exercise and body image for you or family? If you're tired of dieting, feel trapped by compulsive eating and exercise rules, crave a more enjoyable way to be in your body, and wish for more confidence and fulfilling relationships, it's possible to find freedom and a robust sense of self again. As overwhelming or stuck you might feel, we can explore these challenges as opportunities to discover and nourish your deeper hungers.

My Background and Approach

As a somatic psychotherapist, I blend talk therapy with body-based techniques to help clients rediscover their innate wisdom and hunger for life. Instead of getting caught in a spiral of prescriptive “shoulds,” this approach allows clients to slowly become more aware of their unique bodily rhythms, relational needs, gut instincts and deeper hungers from the inside-out. Caroline’s graduate studies while obtaining her Master’s provided an emphasis on diversity, multiculturalism and social justice. With an understanding of multigenerational trauma, attachment theory and the implicit narratives stored in the body, she offered a trauma-informed, developmental movement approach when she served as the yoga leader at an eating disorders treatment center. With appreciation of “mother” as a verb as well as the scientific understanding of the neuropeptide oxytocin (“the bonding hormone"), Caroline created M-Bodied: Mindful Movement as Mothering Medicine®, a somatic approach for deep nourishment.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Our world craves sources of safety, support and belonging. Your body, your nervous system, also craves safety and support resources for sustainable bodily functioning and a variety of healthy relationships. Rather than solely thinking through it, when you can better appreciate the wisdom of your unique body--whatever your preferences, size, shape, culture, gender or race--you can discover nourishing ways to navigate your rainbow of feelings and urges as well as move through life in a more present, satisfying, connected way. My somatic movement education, attachment and trauma training backgrounds while helping those who struggle with disordered eating or body image led me to appreciate Healthy at Every Size for all bodies. Offering a trauma-informed approach for healing supports development of a robust sense of self and presence in the world. My work is centered on a non-shaming approach that invites body wisdom and nervous system healing for expanded presence, connection and play.
