About My Clients
The parenthood journey can be overwhelming. Maybe you've recently added a new child to your family and you're struggling to feel connected. You feel guilty that the child you longed for is not bringing you all of the joy you'd anticipated. Perhaps your birth experience was not what you had hoped, and you're left feeling traumatized. Or maybe you are pregnant and consumed by anxiety. Worst case scenarios about the health of your baby flit through your head, and you feel paralyzed.
My Background and Approach
Imagine what it would feel like to light up when your baby smiles at you in the morning. You know are the best mom for your baby, and you are excited for your future together. Or imagine a pregnancy during which you can focus on your own well-being, as well as that of your baby's, without intrusive thoughts robbing you of the joy of this time. These challenges can feel insurmountable, but I have professional training, including EMDR training for perinatal mental health, as well as my own personal experience as a mom of three, to support you in moving through them. Please reach out to me to schedule a complimentary 30 minute consultation. I look forward to our work together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about social justice and believe in the inherent dignity and worth of all individuals. I have a Master’s in Social Services from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work, I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Pennsylvania, and I have been a practicing therapist for over five years. I am also a current doctoral student in Social Work and my research centers on developing more culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approached to working with clients with psychotic symptoms.
