I work with intention, every day, to be an ally within my community and profession to every population oppressed by the systems that we interact with daily. These systems include but are not limited to: healthcare, policing and education.
In addition to my work as a therapist, I also work in crisis evaluation/stabilization within the healthcare system and see firsthand how these systemic issues impact to our BIPOC and LGBTQ+ community members. I believe we can and must do better.
As a straight, cisgender, white woman I humbly view myself as an ally to all. I also, without question, consider myself a lifelong learner. My hope is for everyone I work with to feel supported, seen and heard. I take full ownership of my own learning, however always welcome feedback for how I can do better.
