About My Clients
My client base is varied, which is beautiful. I tend to be the right therapist for creatives, freelancers, entrepreneurs, or people who have always felt just a little bit different or outside the norm. I work well with trauma survivors and people with mood disorders. I also have a large amount of experience with neurodivergent humans. I am very blunt and direct, but I deliver it in a kind way.
My Background and Approach
Dear future patients: I use an eclectic model- which means I combine pieces of CBT, SFBT and Mindfulness-Based Practices and customize them to fit the person in front of me. As you are speaking, I am listening, taking it all in, and deciding which pieces may be of most help to you and your life. I am also a fully trained EMDR therapist. I've spent as many years as a musician as I have as a counselor, and it helps me bring a special understanding of the unique stressors, addiction issues, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues and trauma that creatives, entrepreneurs, freelancers face on a daily basis. But I've also worked with treatment centers, schools, shelters, and telehealth companies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe EVERYONE deserves access to quality mental healthcare and support. LGBTQ+ and sex worker friendly. BLM advocate. I'm highly openminded and believe you need to be...not just to be an effective therapist, but to also just be a good human.
