About My Clients
My clients are sensitive, smart, and creative, but may find these strengths difficult to access and manage. As a result they may feel disconnected, anxious, and depressed. They often self medicate with alcohol, drugs, or food. I help people reconnect with themselves and use their strengths to build the lives they want and deserve.
My Background and Approach
I am a dual diagnosis specialist. I love working with people who are recovering from trauma (including religious trauma), addictions, eating disorders, and mood disorders. I integrate cognitive-behavioral, solution focused, psychodynamic, and mindfulness based counseling approaches. I am a secular therapist, and I promise I will not bring religion into a counseling session. My style is positive and strengths based, with a sense of humor.
