Scientific research has established EMDR as effective for the treatment of post-traumatic stress, phobias, panic attacks, anxiety disorders, stress, sexual and physical abuse, disturbing memories, complicated grief and addictions. EMDR is not solely used to treat trauma. It can be effective in addressing a variety of negative thoughts and experiences that can scar the mind.

Recounting a detailed history of negative experiences may be impossible until you have processed certain memories or you may not feel ready for it right now. EMDR is a whole body experience that does not solely rely on language to promote healing. It gives desired results – with little talking, without using drugs, and requires no “homework” between sessions. It can also be conducted effectively in person and via teletherapy.
