About My Clients
Many of the clients I work with are LGBTQ identified themselves, and we focus on identity development, personal growth, self-love and self-acceptance, and personal relationships. I love opportunities to use systems of meaning making such as Astrology or Tarot to explore these topics as well.
My Background and Approach
I am an intuitive and adaptable therapist. Each of us brings our own unique self into the room, and each therapeutic experience will be different because of it. I am able to adapt my approach and techniques to the person in front of me, and use my intuitive and empathic nature to offer individualized support and solutions. I use a systemic perspective, critically considering the systems we are a part of and how they impact our daily lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my work, I seek to decolonize the therapeutic space by confronting my own privilege, helping others confront theirs, and critically engaging the problematic systems that impact our health. As much as possible I try to place the power in the therapeutic relationship in the hands of the person rather than the therapist. I am active in supporting Black-owned businesses in the Seattle area, as well as participate in reparations for our local Duwamish Tribe, and I volunteer with Camp Ten Trees - a residential camp for LGBTQ-identified youth and youth of LGBTQ-identified families.
