I believe how we show up in relationships and cope with difficult emotions and situations is influenced by how we learned to survive growing up in an imperfect and unjust world. What helped us navigate life before may no longer serve us anymore, and sometimes it feels difficult to show up differently. As a queer Filipino American therapist, I see the world through an analysis of systems of power and integrate that into my work with clients.
