About My Clients

Every client has internal strengths, skills, and resilience, which I help to identify and incorporate into the the therapeutic process. If you are having trouble identifying blocks contributing to unhealthy patterns or cycles as an individual, couple, or family, if you are struggling with life transitions, personal insecurities, anxiety, depression, or trauma, I will help guide you towards clarity and change.

My Background and Approach

I have been in practice for over ten years, and have had the opportunity to work in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings prior to opening a private practice. Attachment theory provides the foundation for my work with clients, through which I am able to help each individual build insight into their past experience and present patterns, leading to lasting change. I use a directive approach, encouraging consistent growth and development throughout the therapeutic process. I find that using attachment theory as a framework for couple's work creates a transformative experience for couples, in which each partner is able to build understanding, empathy, and connection, while incorporating concrete tools to promote a healthy dynamic. I am trained in EMDR, a trauma treatment protocol. I also incorporate aspects of IFS, mindfulness, and CBT, while working hard to meet each client where they are, providing a treatment plan that meets each individual, couple, or family's unique needs.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in the power of validation, empathy, and connection in creating a solid foundation for a strong therapeutic alliance that allows for genuine growth and development. Utilizing a strengths-based and empirically supported approach to the therapeutic process, I employ a variety of techniques to support adolescents, adults, couples, and families in achieving their internal and interpersonal goals. I am systems focused, which means I firmly believe in the influence of the whole on the individual. My methods are based in attachment theory, which refers to the emotional relationships one holds throughout life. My goal in every session is to increase insight, self-awareness, and empowerment as clients work toward growth and understanding.
